The future stands before us
Yet blocked and hard to see
Glimpses just appearing
Of maybe what will be
The light is there and present
Yet much is in its way
Poking through the fabric
While keeping us at bay
Perhaps a different angle
Will show the future true
Maybe a bit of clearing
Will guide us what to do
We need only know it’s waiting
The future that we seek
What’s beyond will guide us
But for now, it’s just at a peek
About The Poem What’s Beyond
What’s Beyond is an inspirational poem by Robert Longley about the future. It’s always there in front of us, but it rarely reveals itself in any meaningful way. You might have a sense of what’s out there, but you can’t really see it. There are things in your way that are almost deliberately blocking you from seeing what’s really there. Even if you try to view it from a different angle you still can’t quite see what’s out there. In part it is tempting us, and also providing encouragement to see what the future really holds.
We tend not to be patient creatures and in times like this, we want to know that things are going to be alright. It would be great to know that life will return to a reasonable sense of normalcy by X date. We just have to hope that that view gives is the comfort we are looking for. Within the world of quantum physics they have proven that we don’t push ourselves toward the future. We are actually pulled toward it. That tells me that there is something waiting for us that is good and has purpose. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Inspirational Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
