See the opportunity
Just staring at your face
It’s not taking advantage
When you come from a good place
The situation presents us
With needs that must be filled
By those that have the knowledge
And built by those most skilled
A bridge must be created
To the future from the now
You may not have the pieces
But soon you’ll see the how
Many are depending
On gifts you can provide
This is a time for action
You cannot run and hide
About the Poem See the Opportunity
The poem See the Opportunity is about providing service when it is needed. With the current Covid 19 epidemic you will see lots of posts condemning people from profiting from this crisis. While I definitely agree with this sentiment, there is a difference between exploiting a situation and fulfilling a need. If you have an ability or a service that can help people in their time of need, you shouldn’t hold back.
There’s a saying that the logic that got us into a situation is not going to get us out of that same situation. It is going to take new ideas, tools and approaches. A young boy in Canada recently came up with an adustable mask extender that doesn’t hurt your ears. He did it as a Boy Scout project for a local hospital and then posted the 3D printing plans on the internet for anyone to use. I bought a couple dozen for people from a local person who was making them. He had the equipment and charged a modest 50 cents a pieces. Can you make life better for someone in need? Don’t be afraid to offer your service at a fair price. People need what you have to offer. Let them know you are here to serve.
Inspirational Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
