It may not be a measure
Of physical strength or size
Instead it is an inner strength
That shows within your eyes
So much determination
So much want and drive
A spirit of enjoyment
That shows we are alive
You might not always see it
But it’s there down deep in side
It just might take some coaching
To bring forth that strength and pride
Each of us can be powerful
We have to know it true
To let free our power
To do what we must do
About the Poem Powerful
The poem Powerful is about what it is to be powerful. It’s not in the physical, political, financial or hierarchical sense. It’s about your power as a person. How are you able to influence other people – preferably for good. It’s about having energy that you can share with others when needed. That sharing is generally the key. Part of being powerful is inspiring people, or yourself, and giving them the strength to deal with situations, or the ability to see and embrace a vision. Words are great, but actions speak volumes. There’s been more than a few people at the Paris Olympics that I would say are powerful. Simon Biles is powerful and everything a perfect gymnast should be. Then there is Ilona Maher who has taken powerful to a new level. Few people can aspire to be Simon Biles. Everyone can aspire to be Ilona Maher. You might not be able to compete with her on the Rugby field, but I’m pretty sure she would welcome you and encourage you to try. She’s got role model written all over, and this is for someone that is not your traditional female athlete. She shows so many more dimensions of what’s possible and being comfortable with who you are. The medal might be bronze, but her impact on the sport of Rugby, and the powerful message she shares with young girls is pure gold.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
