You find them all around you
And some you need to make
Others are presented to us
And some are chances we must take
It’s not a case of absence
For its silence that we seek
So often it is hidden
But we sometimes get a peak
Where is it you’ll find it
The silence that we need
Chances we are presented
That help us to succeed
The noise fades in the distance
As the sounds do cease
There we connect with silence
And perhaps some inner peace
About the Poem Places of Silence
The poem Places of Silence is about creating space to relax, for things to happen, and for new ideas to come in. We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with external stimulus. It’s not always sound, but it’s usually a component. That’s not our normal state. Humans are supposed to be alone once and a while. That’s time just for us. Maybe it lets us relax. Maybe we can stop long enough to appreciate everything that gets lost in the noise otherwise. You never know what might happen. Some of us get to enjoy these times naturally. Others we need to consciously seek out, or create ourselves. You never know what you might discover.
Inspirational Poetry Books
Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
