About the Poem Finding the One
The poem Finding the One is about finding the right person for you. We never know when we are going to find that one person for us. It may be someone you’ve known since first grade, or it could be someone you meet on in otherwise passing meeting on a train. Maybe you meet buying airline tickets. Anything is possible. Finding the right person is also about finding who you are as well. For generations, the right person for most people lived within about a 10 mile radius. They were also the opposite gender. Were they really the right person, or just the result of limited options or expectations? I’ve known several people who made that choice based on traditional expectations and eventually realized it wasn’t their truth. We don’t need the right person to fit other people’s expectations. They may live in the wrong state or country. They may be the wrong religion. Or they may be the wrong gender. All of these should be ignored because they are not wrong. You need to find what is right for you.
A lot of this can be easier said than done. There can be obstacles that can get in the way. But sometimes we find our way through and make that connection with the right person. I will probably create different versions of this print because the words apply to all of us. But I thought it was important that the original image reflect the couple it was originally written for.

Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
