Sometimes a battle of inches
Others leaps and bounds
Some celebrated in silence
And others to cheering sounds
Sometimes there are setbacks
That cause our faith to wane
Time waiting for sunshine
When all we get is rain
We don’t move forward every time
But that remains the goal
Sometimes the deciding factor
Are the dice that we might roll
We keep this as our vision
With each step forward that we take
Trying to be better
With decisions that we make
About the Poem Every Step Forward
The poem Every Step Forward is about the many flavors of progress. Sometimes we’re the only ones that can see it, other times the whole world does. It’s not a perfect progression and there are often setbacks along the way. At time, even with our best efforts, our fate may come down to luck. Moving forward is primarily about attitude, and continuing to try to move forward. So don’t give up, even when things are tough and you don’t seem to be making progress. Every step forward makes a difference.

Here are some of the books that are available from Robert Longley. I would recommend the Sacred Poem journals. Reading my earlier books (especially the ones for Military, Police and Firefighter’s families) cover to cover can be overwhelming. The poetry journals are designed to give you one poem per day while you journal about what might be going on in your life. There are specific journals for grief, success, and more.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
