Things used to be so simple
The labels of wrong and right
And then there came division
Where things aren’t black and white
Who will speak the truth for you
So that all around agree
Who will be the beacon
That allows us all to see
It doesn’t seem that difficult
But somehow it still is
The fact we are all connected
Too often people miss
So much is now distorted
In thought and even word
It’s time to see some clarity
In a world that now is blurred
About The Poem Blurred
Blurred is an inspirational poem about the current state of affairs in the United States. As if 2020 wasn’t enough fun, those of us in the United States started off the year with a riot and attack on the U.S. Capitol. When did we stop being Americans and start being Republicans and Democrats, black and white, police and everyone else. I’m not sure if Covid 19 is making us all a little nuts, or if we were always headed towards this division. No matter what side you happen to be on, it doesn’t take much to find fault with the other side. This ends up being the narrative that gets promoted and amplified until people start getting hurt – or worse.
People want to be belong to something that gives them an identity. It may be country, sports team, a political party, or a religion. These are all constructs. Most of these seem to identify themselves as being better than the other options, or right when the others are wrong. The truths we need to focus on are the fact that we all share a common planet, we breath the same air, are dependent on the same sun, and have a limited number of resources. We have the choice to cooperate or destroy ourselves. We don’t have to agree on everything, but we should be able to figure out what we agree on. Maybe if we can do that, things will be a little less blurred.

Inspirational Poetry Products
While I do signed poetry prints that are 11×14, that isn’t the size or product that all people want. Some just want a sympathy card, others may want a large canvas print, or maybe a coffee cup. There are limits to what I can customize with the options available so some products just don’t work. Please just ignore them, I know that that format doesn’t work. If you are looking for something specific, or would like to make something specific just let me know. I’m open to just about anything.
